Blessington
Blessington is one of the biggest towns in West Wicklow. Beside the Blessington Lakes and the Wicklow Mountains, Blessington is steeped in history. Around every corner there are buildings, statues, and relics of the past staring back at you. Some of the more noticeable features include the Credit Union House, Downshire Monument, Saint Mary’s Church of Ireland, and the Horseshoe Arch, all of which are found in the centre of town.
On the outskirts of the town is the magnificent Russborough House one of the finest Georgian houses in Ireland with its Palladian facade that makes it the longest house on the island. It is a wonderful destination for a day out with many attractions both inside and out for young and old.
