This is a long and challenging route south from Blessington via Valleymount, Hollywood and Donard to eventually take you to Aughavannagh and the testing climb of Slieve Mann.
A fast descent with some tight corners follows into Glenmalure where sustenance is possible before another classic climb up past the Shay Elliott monument which commerates the rider from Bray who was Ireland’s first Tour De France Yellow Jersey wearer.
The descent brings you into Laragh village before a long steady ascent past Glenmacnass Waterfall takes you to Sally Gap (495m).
The open mountain descent then takes you back to Kilbride and a return to Blessington
