Many walkers on this iconic trail enjoy adding stamps as they travel through its beautiful landscapes, turning the passport into a meaningful keepsake. With so many people beginning at Marlay Park, it was a natural choice to include a stamping point there—along with one at the trail’s end in Clonegal. We’re pleased that Miller Cake Studio in Marlay Park and Weavers Cottages in Clonegal are now part of the Wicklow Way stamping network.
Miller Cake Studio – Marlay Park
Begin your Wicklow Way adventure by collecting your first stamp at Miller Cake Studio, located in the beautiful surroundings of Marlay Park. This delightful boutique cake business and cosy coffee shop is run by the talented duo, Victoria and Andrew, who are passionate about creating handcrafted treats and providing a welcoming space for visitors. Whether you’re fuelling up before your hike or simply stopping by to enjoy the atmosphere, Miller Cake Studio offers the perfect starting point for your Wicklow Way Passport journey. Don’t forget to pick up your stamp before hitting the trail!
Weavers Cottages – Clonegal
End your journey in the picturesque village of Clonegal at Weavers Cottages, Co. Carlow. These charming 17th-century cottages were once home to local weavers during the height of cottage-industry craftsmanship. The surviving pair of semi‑detached, two‑bay, single‑storey dormer cottages, complete with attic conversions, have been thoughtfully restored. Inside, visitors can explore artifacts, photographs, and historic tools depicting traditional weaving life. The site also hosts engaging demonstrations such as spinning, wool dyeing, bread making, and crochet and occasionally comes alive with evenings of storytelling, music, and song.
Please note that when The Weavers Cottages are closed the stamp can be found at Plunketts General Store very close by.
