This extremely picturesque village was built to accompany the manor house of the nearby Powerscourt Estate and is an excellent base from which to explore the surrounding countryside as well as the magnificent Powerscourt grounds.
Enniskerry features superb cafes and shops as well as a host of picture-postcard cottages and a charming village triangle. The clock tower in the centre of the village is also a very attractive feature.
The Catholic Church circa 1843 by Patrick Byrne is one of the first gothic revival churches in Ireland. Lying in a beautiful glen of the Cookstown or Glencullen River, the wooded country around Enniskerry offers fine forest walks.
