It was a fun thing to do during my holidays and a reason to get out and see things in Wicklow that I haven’t seen before.

Learn about Wicklow County’s newest Passport Ambassadors, Alex and Giacomo. During the summer holidays, these young explorers traveled across the county and gathered 16 stamps in the process, inspiring adventurers of all ages. We followed up with the ambassadors to learn more about their itinerary, destinations, and experiences during their Wicklow Passport adventure.
I first heard about the Wicklow Passport years ago. My mum got it for me but we didn’t have the chance to complete it as my brother was born.
I noticed that you could get a badge and I collect badges to pin to my bag. I have them from all the countries I have visited so far.

Bray was my favourite because we went to Sealife Adventure! I loved watching the sharks, my mom liked the sting-rays while Alex enjoyed everything!
Having been to Greystones beforehand, we also got treats from a coffee shop!
Then, we travelled to Glendalough and got to visit my great-grand parents grave. That was cool.
We wouldn’t go too early in the morning as we found things are not usually open. Visit the places which have treats that you can enjoy. The Chocolate Garden and breakfast in Hollywood were my favourite treats.
Yes, I did! I loved going and asking for the stamps myself. The best day was when I was allowed to walk around Wicklow Town. I went to the bookstore by myself and collected a stamp there. I felt very grown up.
We will be going to Italy in 2 weeks to meet some friends, family, and go to a wedding. It will be Alex’s first big adventure (apart from the Wicklow Passport)!
