This very hilly and challenging route takes you north from Bray and then inland towards the Scalp and onto Kilternan from where you have a steady climb to pass Johnnie Fox’s Pub in Glencullen.

The route then drops to pass the Zipit facility at Pine Forest. After a short climb the route joins the Old Military Road going south and passes through the open mountain Featherbeds area before a testing climb past Kippure mountain and onto Sally Gap.

A long mainly downhill section then follows past Glenmacnass Waterfall taking you into Laragh village. From Laragh you take the upper road following the Claravale valley and then head northwards to the busy village of Roundwood.

The route then continues north past Ballinastoe forest (MTB Trail centre and bike hire available here).

The final section take you into Enniskerry village and then north and east to return to Bray following relatively quiet roads
