Ballinastoe Slí

Located 5km to the north of Roundwood, Ballinastoe forest provides a range of activities including a custom built mountain biking trail.

This walk starts from the main car park close to the mountain bike trail centre.

The route climbs from the car park to reach the open mountain and the JB Memorial where you’ll be rewarded with fantastic views across the Wicklow Mountains. Your route descends again to the car park.

This is a walking trail in Ballinastoe forest with some good views.

Grade: Easy

Markings: The route is marked with Sli markers – Blue arrow (Loop Trail)
Distance: 5.2km
Estimated time: 1.25 hrs
Total height climbed: 180m
Highest point: 530m
Terrain underfoot: Forest trail
Suitable for: Anyone with average fitness

Notes: The forest is busy with mountain bikers so be careful where you see anywhere where bikers cross the track
