The Wicklow Mountains contain some of the most beautiful rock climbing and hiking venues in Ireland.
Wicklow has in total fifteen rock climbing venues that vary from hidden overgrown small crags to perfect granite cliffs of the Glendalough National Park and the Fraughan Rock Glen in Glenmalure. Each venue has a unique character and is nestled in a beautiful landscape.
The Wicklow Mountains also contain some of the most beautiful landscapes in Ireland. With a proximity to Dublin City there are ample well structured trails that are a mixture of board walks, rough paths and open mountain trails. The most popular destinations are the Sugarloaf, Djouce Mountain, Scarr Mountain, Glendalough National Park, Camaderry Mountain and Lugnaquilla to name but a few.
