Festina Lente Equestrian Centre provides an inclusive environment which fosters each person’s learning and well-being in a supportive, nurturing and fun manner. We offer equine centred activities to people of all ages, backgrounds, learning abilities and interests. Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced rider Festina Lente Equestrian Centre has something for everybody!
Our Equestrian Centre is fully approved by both the Association of Irish Riding Establishments (AIRE) and the British Horse Society (BHS), we are based in Bray in the old gardens of Old Connaught House along with a Victorian Walled Garden, Garden Centre, Café and Training Centre and we are only 20km from Dublin City Centre. Our excellent facilities include a very large all-weather floodlit indoor arena, a large outdoor arena, outdoor paddocks and sensory trails. Excellent Horse Welfare also plays a key role in Festina Lente Riding School and our staff are constantly learning the latest in Equitation Science. We also host equitation science clinics by Dr Andrew McClean, Chris Irwin & other well-known experts in the equitation science area.
We offer riding lessons, dressage schooling and jumping tuition, long lining and lunging as well as stable management training. Our Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) Programme facilitates adults and children to learn about themselves and experience personal growth and development. Our Equestrian Centre provides an integrated working and learning environment to hundreds of people every year. We have developed a strong reputation for excellence in high level coaching and inclusion of children and persons with special needs through therapeutic riding and special needs learning programmes like our supported helpers programme and a place to have fun!
We also offer a number of QQI Accredited Training Programmes like our Equestrian Training Programme, our Therapeutic Coaching Programme and our Equine Assisted Learning Facilitator Training Programme.
