This route follows the quieter roads to the north and south of the R747. The route climbs immediately after crossing the River Derry in Tinahely and takes you to Aughrim via Ballinglen.

When leaving Aughrim on the return leg, you cross the bridge and then take the secondary road heading south-west through Kilpipe Upper and Killaveny. This will guide riders back to Tinahely.
