This large-scale mural features well-known landmarks in Wicklow, such as the Black Castle and the harbour lighthouse.
Salthouse Lane (Bottom) by Nean
This remarkable mural realistically illustrates a popular activity amongst young people in Wicklow: jumping from the local pier to swim.
Anchor House by Shane O’Driscoll
This abstract artwork depicts sailing ships and activities taking place in the harbour in colourful fashion.
The Wicklow Heron by Emma Jane Rushworth
A Wicklow-based sculptor, Emma Jane Rushworth, produced this incredible lifelike heron through a process of weaving bronze stainless steel and corten steel. The beautiful sculpture drew inspiration from the herons native to the area.
Scout’s Hall by Curtis Hylton
This stunning mural was inspired by the marine line in Wicklow Harbour, including Sammy the Seal, and the variety of panels depict the biodiversity of the Leitrim River in vibrant fashion.
Doctor’s Steps by Mariana Duarte Santos
This mural depicts some of the historical users of the steps, including a local doctor from the 1800s. The piece also illustrates some of the many activities that once took place in Wicklow Harbour and along the Murrough. The artwork effectively takes viewers on a tour of Wicklow Town as it was.
Town Hall / Quarantine Hill by Phil Galbraith & Pat Dover
This installation featured 7-metre steel panels that depict the historic Asgard II ship.
The piece is mounted on Wicklow’s Town Hall and is illuminated by LED lighting, allowing for it to be viewed from several locations within the port area.
Quarantine Hill by Beerens
The artist drew inspiration from his deep sea diving experience for the creation of this mural which depicts under see aquarium images.
Wicklow Sailing Club by John Brady
This mural focuses on a maritime theme and depicts a set of colourful sail boats and a lively summer day in Wicklow Harbour.
