Inspiration Behind The Mural
Local artist Kayde was inspired to create this mural after watching Blue Planet during some time at home. Curious to learn more, he looked up David Attenborough and discovered that he is celebrating a landmark birthday this month, May 2026. As a long-time admirer of Attenborough’s work and the powerful environmental messages shared throughout his documentaries, Kayde felt it was the perfect moment to create a mural in his honour.
Over the past decade, David Attenborough’s message has consistently highlighted the importance of protecting nature, understanding our impact on the planet, and taking climate change seriously — themes that continue to resonate in our everyday lives.
