Donard is a pretty village at the northern end of the beautiful Glen of Imaal. This area is a haven for hillwalking and a great base for a short break in the #wicklow hills.

Worth a visit is Michael Dwyer's cottage, in which he fought the encircled British troops in 1799 before escaping over the snow-covered mountains. Castleruddery Stone Circle, a National Monument, is also nearby and worth a visit.
