From Tinahely you cross the River Derry and head uphill towards Ballinglen where you then go left and follow the road alongside the Ballycumber River north-east to Moyne and then continue onto the village of Knockananna.

When leaving Knockananna in a southerly direction, cyclists eventually join the R747 near Crossbridge before a final 2km section along the Derry River brings you back to Tinahely.
