The popular Wicklow Gardens of Jimi Blake in Blessington, Hunting Brook Gardens was given a special feature on Gardeners World with Monty Don on the 19th July.
Monty spent a day filming and hanging out with Jimi Blake, getting some spectacular shots and really capturing the essence of the place. Monty Don, one of the best-known garden personalities in the world was so impressed with so many different aspects of this wonderful Wicklow Paradise. The wild Meadows, the very impressive and unusual planting and the whole energy of the place made such a lasting impression on Monty.
Located 4 miles north of Blessington in West Wicklow, just off the N81 road, Hunting Brook Gardens is set on 20 acres, which includes beautiful woodland walks, one of Ireland’s largest private plant collection, special open days, events and classes.
The next open days are August 20th and September 10th, and are always a great day out, with free talks, special events and tea rooms. Open from April to the end of September, Wednesday to Sunday 11am to 5.30pm.
Located close to June Blake’s Garden, another spectacular Wicklow garden and tea room.
