Agata and her daughter Leana had a great experience collecting stamps together around Co. Wicklow.
Read their story here:
“I heard about the Wicklow Passport on Social Media, I ordered it and then misplaced it. When I found the Passport a year later, myself and Leana (she was 5 back then) started the challenge in July 2023 as a part of our summer adventure. Our favourite places were Glendalough, any hiking places and places with water near by. Leana’ s favourite place was this year’s Junction 18 coffee shop, where we got some delicious hot chocolate and coffee, before heading to Brittas Bay on a warm, showery afternoon. We have enjoyed a sunrise in Blessington, a sunset in Bray and Wicklow’s rainbow.”
What was the most challenging part of your journey with the Wicklow Passport?
The most challenging thing was to remember bringing the Wicklow Passport with us to have it stamped.
Would you have any advice would you give to others who are interested in a similar journey?
Our advice for anyone taking up the challenge is: plan your journey, Co. Wicklow is bigger then you think!
If we were doing it again, we’d plan our days and stops better to make the most of it.
Overall we had a great fun, especially waiting for people to find the stamp (in many places)
Our next adventure might be the Wicklow Town Passport, looks interesting.
“Thank you for this fabulous experience.”
