Located on Main Street in Baltinglass, in West Wicklow, Horans is a family-run Bar and Restaurant where one is sure to meet locals and visitors alike for a chat.

Originally known as the Commercial House, the bar dates back to 1881, when it provided accommodation, food and drinks to travelling salesmen visiting the area and also stabled their horses overnight in the rear yard.

Now our philosophy at Horans is to provide a warm welcome along with delicious, home cooked food, premium beers and wines. Our food is traditional yet wholesome, with wonderful breads and confectioneries baked in-house daily.

A daily lunch menu is available from 12 noon until 3pm followed by an A La Carte menu offering a choice of fresh fish prime Irish beef steaks, Irish chicken and a choice of vegetarian and gluten free dishes served daily until 8pm.

Horan’s hosts traditional music sessions on fridays nights and provides live music at weekends.

Our private function room can accommodate up to 200 people with a heated beer garden outside making it very suitable for all special occasions.
We have a choice of “Special Occassions Menus” that can be specially arranged to suit your occassion.

Our self catering accommodation over the bar is spacious quiet and comfortable. It offers the flexibility of self catering and the convenience of the restaurant and bar below.

Our self catering accommodation can sleep up to 28 people and we can organise hill walking , cycling tours with packed lunches if required from the pub.

They have recently added 5 new luxurious en-suite bedrooms to the self catering side.
