Greenan Maze is set amidst the beautiful Wicklow hills on a pretty countryside farm. With two mazes, three museums, nature walks, woodlands, ponds, wildlife, farm animals, play areas, nature treasure hunt and fairy tree walk, there is plenty of fun for all ages. Families enjoy spending the day and The Irish Times designated it a Heritage Hotspot “it’s an antidote to urban living within easy reach of Dublin”.
The half-acre beech hedge maze was replanted in 2022 and gentler solstice maze with stone circles are fun for all ages and the barn and bottle museum offer a look at farming in former times, as does the farmhouse museum with its traditional furniture and utensils. The treasure hunt and fairy tree trail are great fun activities for kids and getting lost in the maze helps you find your love of nature.
The coffee shop opens every day and sells gourmet organic coffees, snacks, sandwiches and cakes aswell as a selection of hand-made crafts, local and global crafts, antique bottles, gifts and environmentally friendly stationery.
Greenan Maze now have two Shepherds Huts as accommodation for nature savers and star gazers to stay on site and enjoy the farm. Sitting by a campfire near an oak wood with views of the mountains, these cosy huts have electricity, kitchenettes and heating and make wild glamping in Wicklow a very comfortable experience, for more info see: https://www.greenanmaze.com/index.php/attractions/shepherdshuts/
