Avoca Gallery

The Avoca Gallery is an exhibition space, artist studio and home to Avoca Painting School. We are located in south-east Co. Wicklow on the main road (R752) from Rathdrum to Avoca, near the Meetings of the Waters. Resident artist Rod Coyne shows a vast selection of his paintings and canvas prints here. You can meet the artist, view works in progress or peruse various gift ideas available. We have an extensive online shop and offer free shipping.

 The Avoca Painting School is proof positive of Rod Coyne’s passion for art. Since 2010 he has been sharing his extensive knowledge with students from diverse backgrounds. Students are enthralled by Rod’s morning painting demonstration; it’s hands-on as opposed to reams of abstract theory. People are empowered by learning new skills and being given a license to loosen up. “A special thing happens by the end of the day when students appreciate the therapeutic quality of painting and notice they have spent the day in a state of mindfulness”, tells Coyne.
