The 2024 Tinahely Agricultural Show is taking place on Bank Holiday Monday August the 5th. The Tinahely Show is one of the largest and longest-running agricultural shows in Ireland, attracting over 20,000 visitors and featuring 400 trade exhibitors.
The show has been running since 1935 and continues to showcase the richness and diversity of rural life in County Wicklow with a huge range of entertainment, livestock competitions, equestrian events, arts and crafts, family fun and local food produce.
The show features some of the best livestock in the country with over 1,000 entries in cattle, sheep, horses, ponies and poultry. It will also host the Interbreed Cattle championships, sheep shearing and geese herding along with an equestrian section which included show jumping, horse racing and pony games.
The wealth of creativity and talent within the local community and throughout the county is celebrated at the craft village which features over 100 stalls selling handmade craft items including jewellery, pottery, woodwork and textiles. The show also has a food village where visitors could sample some of the finest local produce from County Wicklow and beyond.
Wicklow County Council will be present again at the “The Best of Wicklow” marquee which features the various services offered by the Council along with associated groups including County Wicklow Sports Partnership, Register of Electors, Healthy Ireland, Climate Action Team, Civil Defence, Pure Mile Project, Tinahely Arts Office, Wicklow County Arts Office, Public Participation Network, Tinahely Men’s Shed, Wicklow Hospice, West Wicklow Mental Health Association. Don’t miss Wicklow Naturally’s cooking demo featuring celebrity chef, Catherine Fulvio.
