The Wicklow Walking Festival with Footfalls Walking Holidays will take place between October 27th and 29th.
The Walking Festival offers a series of walks throughout the Wicklow Mountains and is suitable for participants of all fitness and interest levels.
The Festival will be based in the Brockagh Resource Centre. Many of the walks will take visitors through the Wicklow Mountains National Park. The Centre itself is situated in the heart of the Wicklow Mountains, conveniently located between the villlage of Laragh and Glendalough. Eircode: A98 DEH1
All walks are led by experienced walking leader focused on enhancing your daily experience with information on local history, flora, and fauna.
The Wicklow Mountains National Park is an ideal location for a fun-filled festival weekend covering roughly 90,000 hectares! The park some of Europe’s oldest peat boglands, heather-covered mountains, and woodlands. Large herds of sika and red/sika hybrid deer, foxes, badgers, hares and birds are frequently spotted on the walks so don’t forget your camera!
