Greystones beach is a mix of pebble and sand and is located at the southern end of the town of Greystones. The beach is accessible by public transport, the DART train travels to Greystones from Dublin City centre regularly during the day.
Greystones is lifeguarded during the bathing season (lifeguard times are posted on the information noticeboard on the beach).
The South Beach in Greystones is about half a mile long. This follows on from the shingly North Beach at the harbour. There is also a children’s playground situated adjacent to the beach. Blue and Green Flag Beach Awards take place each year in early June.
