Doire Coille Farmhouse is situated in a wonderfully scenic area in the foothills of the Wicklow Mountains and is the perfect place from which to base yourslf as you experience the wonders of Wicklow and surrounding areas. The house is just a mile and a half from the village of Laragh and just one hour’s drive south of Dublin. The enchanting vale of Glendalough, one of Ireland’s most famous monastic sites, is just 2 miles away. Also nearly is Rathdrum, with its famous Avondale House and Forest Park, home of Charles Stewart Parnell. The Vale of Avoca and the Meetings of the Water where the poet Thomas Moore wrote his famous poem are also within easy reach.
