Join the Wicklow Passport Network

Launched in 2019, the Wicklow Passport has proven extremely successful at attracting and entertaining visitors from all over the world as well as locals.  The Wicklow Ambassador challenge is bringing people to lesser known areas in the County showcasing the many hidden gems in Wicklow.  In 2024, we have enhanced the design of the Wicklow Passport, turning the foldable print into a passport-like.   The new design will make the passport more attractive and offer more opportunities to collect stamps.  In order to make the Wicklow Passport more exciting, stamping locations are welcome to use their own stamps, thus giving businesses an extra opportunity to attract and promote themselves.

See below how to join the Wicklow Passport network and maximise your opportunities:

Become a Stamping Location:

In order to become a Stamping Location you must be registered with the Visit Wicklow tourism network (annual fee of €120).  Once registered you will get:

  • Dedicated page on the visitwicklow.ie website
  • Listing under Stamping Location on visitwicklow.ie website
  • Promotional Wicklow Passport Stamping Location sticker to be displayed at your premises
  • Local Wicklow Passport stamp (Bray, Carnew, Baltinglass, etc.), unless you prefer to create and use your own stamp.
  • 10 free Wicklow Passports for you to enjoy

Design and use your own stamp:

Rather than using the current 23 stamps, we are inviting stamping locations to create and use their own stamp.  Having your own stamp is a great promotional tool and will make your business stand out.  The more creative the stamp, the more opportunities you will have to attract visitors to your business.  Stamps can be of any single colour (black, blue, red, green) and roughly fit within a 4×4 cm square.

Create new itineraries:

Use the Wicklow Passport infrastructure and create new itineraries and challenges.  Link with other businesses around Wicklow and offer visitors the opportunity to discover your preferred routes and experiences around Wicklow.  You can add a reward to be given upon completion as an incentive. Itineraries will also be featured on the visitwicklow.ie website and will be promoted online.
