DESCRIPTION:October Bank Holiday Weekend\n\n\n\n\n\nFriday 22nd October – Monday 25th October 2021\nPlease register online and we will send you a STRIPE invoice two weeks before the festival to make it easy for you to pay for your chosen walk/walks online. \nCo. Wicklow ‘The Garden of Ireland’\, is renowned worldwide for its scenic beauty\, offering a variety of walking challenges – from woodlands and rolling hills to wild craggy mountain climbs. The county lies just south of Dublin on the East Coast of Ireland. It is home to the largest area of unbroken high raised ground in Ireland\, covering almost the same area as that of Mont Blanc\, approximately 50 km long by 40 km wide. \n\n\n\n\n\nBOOK WALKING FESTIVAL HIKES\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFestival Outline\nThe Festival will be based in the Brockagh Resource Centre with many of the walks taking us through Wicklow Mountains National Park. The Centre is situated in the heart of the Wicklow Mountains\, on the road between the village of Laragh and Glendalough. Eircode\, A98 D3H1 \nAll walks are led by experienced walking leaders who will enhance your day with information on local history flora and fauna. \nThe National Park is an ideal location for a fun-filled festival weekend covering approximately 90\,000 hectares! The park protects some of Europe’s oldest peat boglands\, heather-covered mountains\, and woodlands. SUMMARY:Rathdrum Halloween Playfest
DESCRIPTION:Wicklow County Council is delighted to present Halloween Playfest\, a spooktacularly-playful weekend of workshops\, demonstrations\, puppet shows\, dance events\, discos\, concerts\, games and more that will take place in Memorial Park\, Rathdrum\, Co. Wicklow on Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 October. \nHighlights include performances from trad band Perfect Friction\, 70’s rock band Feel the Pinch\, singer-songwriter Amy Barrett and East Coast Jazz Band\, all protected from the weather under an attractive open stretch tent. Also planned are Bodhrán Buzz and Pumpkin Carving workshops\, a Silent Disco with Fancy Dress for teenagers with FM 104’s DJ Al Gibbs\, a demonstration on how to cook with leftover pumpkin carvings by celebrity chef Catherine Fulvio\, and lots\, lots more. \nAll events at Halloween Playfest are FREE.
