SUMMARY:Round Ireland Yacht Race 2026
DESCRIPTION:SSE Renewables Round Ireland – Ireland’s Premier offshore Yacht Race\nThe Round Ireland is Ireland’s premier offshore yacht race\, and the second longest race in the Royal Ocean Racing Club calendar. The first race took place in 1980 with only sixteen boats. Since then\, held biennially\, the fleet has grown steadily\, attracting a record 64 entrants from all over the world. \nThere are a number classes in IRC in which boats and their crews can compete. 2004 saw the launch of the “Two-handed Class” which has introduced a new level of competition for the more extreme sailor. The 2016 race saw the introduction of multihulls sailing under MOCRA rules. In the past\, boats competing have ranged from a 98-footer former “round the world” maxi\, to club boats one third the size\, with all shades in between. \nThe race starts at 1pm so make sure you are in a good spot to see the yachts take off from Wicklow. \nMore information on the event is available on their website:  https://roundireland.ie/wp/  \nKeep up-to-date with the race by following on Facebook & Instagram

DESCRIPTION:Under the Giant is a new outdoor concert series at the Carlisle Grounds in Bray\, Co. Wicklow\, taking place from 20–23 August 2026. \nSet against the backdrop of Bray Head and just moments from the seafront\, the series brings world-class artists to one of Ireland’s most unique outdoor concert settings. \nLocated just 20 meters from Bray DART station\, the venue is easily accessible from Dublin and across the east coast. \nThis inaugural year launches a long-term partnership with the Carlisle Grounds to deliver an annual summer concert series in Bray. \n              More details will be added as they are announced. \nCRAIG DAVID PRESENTS TS5\nOne of the UK’s most celebrated artists\, Craig David brings his globally renowned TS5 show to Bray this summer as part of Under the Giant at the Carlisle Grounds. \nA unique blend of DJ set\, live vocals and MCing\, TS5 sees Craig David performing garage\, R&B\, house and chart hits in the format that first made the parties at his Miami penthouse legendary. The show has since travelled the world\, selling out clubs and festival stages from Ibiza to London. \nWith a career spanning more than two decades\, Craig David first rose to fame with his chart-topping debut album Born to Do It\, featuring classics including “Fill Me In”\, “7 Days” and “Walking Away”.
