DESCRIPTION:The Wicklow 200 – and its partner event the Wicklow 100 Challenge – take in many of the most iconic climbs in Ireland’s ‘Garden County’ in an event that is among the most arduous and most revered annual cycling events on the world calendar. \nThe ride takes place every June and attracts cyclists from many different countries. As the name suggests\, the event covers over 200 kilometres around Co. SUMMARY:Round Ireland Yacht Race 2026
DESCRIPTION:SSE Renewables Round Ireland – Ireland’s Premier offshore Yacht Race\nThe Round Ireland is Ireland’s premier offshore yacht race\, and the second longest race in the Royal Ocean Racing Club calendar. The first race took place in 1980 with only sixteen boats. Since then\, held biennially\, the fleet has grown steadily\, attracting a record 64 entrants from all over the world. \nThere are a number classes in IRC in which boats and their crews can compete. 2004 saw the launch of the “Two-handed Class” which has introduced a new level of competition for the more extreme sailor. The 2016 race saw the introduction of multihulls sailing under MOCRA rules. In the past\, boats competing have ranged from a 98-footer former “round the world” maxi\, to club boats one third the size\, with all shades in between. \nThe race starts at 1pm so make sure you are in a good spot to see the yachts take off from Wicklow. \nMore information on the event is available on their website:  https://roundireland.ie/wp/  \nKeep up-to-date with the race by following on Facebook & Instagram
