SUMMARY:Round Ireland Yacht Race 2026
DESCRIPTION:SSE Renewables Round Ireland – Ireland’s Premier offshore Yacht Race\nThe Round Ireland is Ireland’s premier offshore yacht race\, and the second longest race in the Royal Ocean Racing Club calendar. The first race took place in 1980 with only sixteen boats. Since then\, held biennially\, the fleet has grown steadily\, attracting a record 64 entrants from all over the world. \nThere are a number classes in IRC in which boats and their crews can compete. 2004 saw the launch of the “Two-handed Class” which has introduced a new level of competition for the more extreme sailor. The 2016 race saw the introduction of multihulls sailing under MOCRA rules. In the past\, boats competing have ranged from a 98-footer former “round the world” maxi\, to club boats one third the size\, with all shades in between. \nThe race starts at 1pm so make sure you are in a good spot to see the yachts take off from Wicklow. \nMore information on the event is available on their website:  https://roundireland.ie/wp/  \nKeep up-to-date with the race by following on Facebook & Instagram

SUMMARY:"Music In The Forest" - An Ancient Music Festival in Dorlindon Forest
DESCRIPTION:This summer\, experience a celebration of Ancient Music in one of Ireland’s most enchanting natural settings. Hosted at Dorlindon Nature Sanctuary\, the 2nd annual edition of this open-air festival brings together live performances of Medieval\, Renaissance\, and Baroque music\, performed in a mythical forest environment rich with beauty\, stillness\, and atmosphere. A unique blend of sounds from across the ages\, including Irish Classical and traditional influences. \n \n  \n\n3–5pm daytime concerts in a natural forest amphitheatre.\nPerformances by ensembles and soloists from the European Ancient and early music tradition.\nA rare opportunity to gather\, listen\, and reflect in a place where music\, imagination\, and tradition meet.\nA contribution from proceeds will go to the Children’s Health Foundation\, adding heart to every performance.\nA Celebration of Ancient Music in the Beautiful\, Natural Forest setting of Dorlindon.\n\n \n  \nTickets are limited and available through Eventbrite \nSee some of the highlights from 2025 below.
