DESCRIPTION:The West Wicklow Chamber Music Festival brings the most exciting and passionate artists from Ireland and abroad to beautiful West Wicklow\, for the enjoyment of all. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nFiachra Garvey\, the festival’s founder and artistic director\, grew up as a pianist and farmer in Ballyknockan\, West Wicklow\, on the glistening Blessington Lakes. Having performed in festivals all over the world\, his desire to establish a festival in his native Wicklow was realised in 2017. Since then\, the West Wicklow Chamber Music Festival has grown to include a flagship festival each May\, and a Winter Weekend of concerts each November. \nRussborough House\, one of Ireland’s most historic and iconic Palladian houses\, St. Mary’s Church Blessington\, and the Tramway Theatre are fitting venues\, with their intimate surroundings\, fascinating history and long association with music. \n2026 marks the 10th year of the festival\, and we look forward to extending a warm West Wicklow welcome to our artists and audiences for many years to come! \nFor bookings and details on the full line up click here What’s On | West Wicklow Chamber Music Festival | 20 – 24 May 2026

SUMMARY:Lap Of The Gap Mountain Marathon
DESCRIPTION:The Glendalough Lap of the Gap Marathon is the only road marathon event held in the Wicklow Mountains National Park. The event – and it’s little brother the ‘Glen to Glen Half-marathon’ – have been held since 2016 by local club Glendalough AC on the penultimate Saturday of May before the peak tourist season in the area. \nThe races offer a unique challenge: hilly and tough but also beautiful and scenic. You are unlikely to find personal bests on our courses but guaranteed an experience to savour and a challenge to be proud of. During the race you can savour some of Wicklow’s main natural sights including the Glendalough Lakes\, the Glenmacnass Waterfall\, and Lough Tay (the ‘Guinness Lake’). \nWe pride ourselves on offering a race that is both an experience for the casual runner but also a true sporting competition for the competitive or elite entrant. \nBook here!
