A ‘Winter Weekend’ packed with an exciting line-up of classical music stars! 

The West Wicklow Festival‘s inaugural ‘Winter Weekend’ is taking place from the 12th-14th November 2021 at Russborough House.

Programme:

• Friday 12 November, 8pm:  Mairéad Hickey violin & Fiachra Garvey piano
  Violinist Mairéad Hickey’s natural ability to communicate with beauty and integrity has entranced audiences worldwide. Mairéad will perform with Wicklow-born Fiachra Garvey, an award-winning pianist and the Festival’s Artistic Director.
• Saturday 13 November, 8pm:  Kristīne Balanas violin & Margarita Balanas cello
  Latvian sisters Kristīne and Margarita Balanas have dazzled audiences all over the world with their distinguished artistry and mesmerising stage presence. We are thrilled that this will be their premiere Irish performance as a duo
• Sunday 14 November, 3pm:  Sharon Carty mezzo-soprano & Gary Beecher piano
  Mezzo-soprano Sharon Carty is acclaimed for the warmth, clarity and agility of her voice. Here she will perform with pianist Gary Beecher, who in 2019 was awarded First Prize at the prestigious International Nadia and Lili Boulanger Voice-Piano Competition in Paris.
