Local people have done a fantastic job in restoring the historic Éire sign on Bray Head, County #Wicklow.
Following gorse fires this summer, the previously hidden World War II marker was uncovered. The sign, accompanied by a number 8, was used by the US air force as a navigational aid and would also have assisted aircraft bombers in recognising thier location over a neutral country.
