Drink Wicklow Festival

5th October 2019 all-day
Wicklow Brewery
Main Street
Co. Wicklow

Wicklow has such an amazing selection of Drink producers, so this festival will be all about premium drink brands coming together to encourage visitors to come to Wicklow not just for the beautiful scenery, but also for Eating and Drinking. The festival will be taking place in the beautiful Beer Hall at Wicklow Brewery, which is situated in the quaint tourist village of Redcross. It runs from 17:00 Friday 4th October and from 14:00 Saturday 5th October.

It’ll be a week-end of foraging walks & brewery talks with brewing demonstrations. We will also be running our Wicklow Brewery Tours and Tasting daily at 14:00 and 17:00, where guests will receive an up close and personal tour of the working brewery. They will learn the brewing process and obtain a tour of the working brewing and maybe even mill some grain with a tasting at the end of the range of Wicklow Brewery’s Beers as follows Wicklow Helles. Wicklow Weiss, St. Kevin’s Red, HopKnut Pale Ale, WB-40 IPA, Black 16 Stout and GingerKnut Ginger Beer.

The adjacent Mickey Finn’s Brew Pub famous for marrying its beers with food, will have a Special Menu for the week-end with fantastic beer and food creations such as its signature dessert ‘Beeramisu’ which is all the tasty elements of a Tiramisu with the added value of Black 16 Stout which has notes of coffee and vanilla. Mickey Finn’s will also have Brewery Street Food available from the outdoor Brewery Courtyard with dishes such as Pulled Pork Brisket marinated in GingerKnut Ginger Beer, St.Kevin’s Bespoke Spiral Sausages, Butter Beer Chicken and lots more all marinated in the local brews.

There will be Live Music on the Brewery Stage from 21:00 and to keep it in true Octoberfest style, they’ll be lots of games throughout the day. Staff will be dressed in Lederhosen and Drindl in keeping with the beer theme.

Accommodation is provided next door in River Valley Holiday Park www.rivervalleypark.ie, where they recently opened Ireland’s first ‘Glampotel’. So come stay and take a taste of Wicklow.
